Kem Sitsongpeenong was working on the Thai Pads and his Muay Thai is beautiful. His roundhouse kick is a work of art it is fast, powerful, intense and fluid all in one. I hope I can get my kicks to look like that one day.
Sitsongpeenong has two fighters right now preparing to fight at the end of the month. The first is this small 13 year old kid name Jomhod. He is a machine that never quits. When you watch him train you can tell he is something special. He loves training and loves fighting even more! After two hours of training that would make most Americans throw up, he did like 40 minutes of clinching with a kid his size and adult trainer. He was just awesome!
The other fighter who is fighting is called Dechsakda and he is fighting for a title belt on July 30th. He is also a workhorse and animal. He has great spirit and heart. I was watching him do Thai Pad work and spar today. I learned so much just by watching him train.
It is just amazing to watch these kids train, it is really inspiring to see how hard they train and how hard the trainers work at trying to turn them into champions. It is truly a team effort to make a Champion!
Tomorrow, I am doing a Private Lesson with Monlit who is supposedly going to win "trainer of the year" this year in Thailand. He has trained Jongsanan Fairtex, Bunkerd Fairtex, Yoknoi Fairtex and now Kem Sitsongpeenong, Sittichai Sitsongpeenong, Maphicit Sitsongpenong, Jomhod Sitsongpeenong and Dechsakda Sitsongpeenong.
